Top Health Sensitivities

  • Mold and mycotoxin exposure/sensitivity - There are over 400 mycotoxins, most of which are cytotoxic. They can suppress the immune system and can be carcinogenic.
  • EMF sensitivity - Their effect depends on the strength of the fields, the distance from the source, and the length of the exposure time. Electrical current passing through the body can injure tissue and damage nerve transmission.
  • Fracking - Academic studies show fracking used in oil production can adversely affect the health of those in close proximity to the wells.  Health issues noted are headaches, dizziness and difficulty breathing.
  • Natural gas - Many of the components of natural gas can become stored in body tissue. This can create sensitivity issues, arthralgias, fatigue, headaches, blood problems, gastro intestinal problems, and central nervous system problems such as neuropathy, immune system dysregulation, and spleen, liver, and lung issues.
  • Chemical exposure and chemical sensitivities - Exposure to chemicals can lead to a physical reaction in your body that results in inflammation and other health concerns.
  • Immune dysregulation - Can be a result of sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies or toxic exposure.
  • Pollen, dust and dust mite sensitivities - Allergic reaction to seasonal pollens and dust. Can be part of a cross reactive process where food allergies are involved due to pollens.
  • Implant syndrome - Where the body objects to materials used for surgical implants and can cause symptoms such as joint pain, fatigue, nausea, headache, immune suppression, increased sensitivities to foods, inhalants/chemicals and more.
  • Irritable bowel syndrome and food sensitivities - It is a problem in which the nerves and muscles of the bowel are adversely affected. This disorder can manifest itself in cramping, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain.
  • Medication sensitivities - There are some individuals who have intolerance to many medications. This creates severe treatment issues and jeopardizes the health and recovery of the patient.
  • Metal toxicity and metal sensitivities - Metal toxicity is a condition in which there is an elevated level of essential minerals or heavy metals in the body.
  • Metal sensitivity - Is your sensitivity response to the metal to be placed into your body through a medical/surgical or dental procedure.
  • Oil spill exposures - Exposure to oil or the chemicals used in the clean up can cause symptoms such as skin rashes, syncope, gastrointestinal problems, and immune dysregulation.
  • Pesticides - The health effects of pesticides depend on the type of pesticide. Length of exposure and frequency can be the source of health issues.
  • Chemical incitants in the home environment - Recent attention focused on the analysis of indoor air has led to the discovery of a multitude of sensitivities to chemicals confronted in the home environment.
  • Dental material sensitivities - Sometimes the body can be exceptionally sensitive to certain dental materials and be less sensitive with others. Testing is the best way to find out sensitivities.
  • Neurotoxicity - Some exposure to neurotoxins damages the neurons, while other neurotoxins cause death of nerve tissue and permanent nervous system damage.  Exposure time, particular toxin, and dosage amount affect the seriousness of the neurotoxin exposure.
  • Cardiovascular disease - Foods, food additives, and chemicals in air and water, affect cardiovascular disease through the immune system’s response. The environmental incitants affect changes in the number and action of immunoglobulins, complements, eosinophils, basophils, and lymphocytes frequently leading to immune system deficiencies and dysfunction.
  • Vasculitis - There is large vessel and small vessel vasculitis. In these vessels there can be minor vessel involvement or serious vessel inflammation with tissue destruction leading to cellular death. Depending on the severity of the vessel inflammation, symptoms can be varied from mild to severe.
  • Nutritional imbalances - The importance of a balanced, nutritious diet of foods to which you are non-reactive or to which you are mildly sensitive are a cornerstone to health. Nutritional imbalances affect total health and every organ system in your body.
  • Bacteria and biologicals - A whole person analysis comprised of your history and physical, past and present laboratory analyses, your exposure history, nutritional history, surgical and environmental history are evaluated for their contribution to your disease process.
  • Fluoride - Some individuals can have a hypersensitivity reaction to fluoride. Fluorosis is a condition in which fluoride becomes stored in certain areas of the brain lowering the IQ of those involved.
  • Post-polio syndrome - Post Polio Syndrome is a series of symptoms exhibited by patients who have had polio occurring years later, the result of the effect of environmental factors have on weakened target organs.
  • Surgical procedure sensitivities - Understanding and developing correct surgical protocol for the chemically sensitive can be a challenge in the current climate. Most hospitals will understand the needs of the chemically sensitive patient if realistic modifications to the surgical procedures are presented in the spirit of compromise.
